Been feeling jazzy. This appeared on the jaquard loom after I’d been playing with river of life tablet woven bands…it is going to have to calm down a bit, we’ll see where it goes.
It is a lampas weave using 4 wefts, 3 silk pattern wefts on the bright side of life and a more sombre dark blue cotton ground weft.
I am using the stick in a shed method to hold this onto the loom, You can just see the central tie attaching to the loom peeking out. It is holding on miraculously, with the help of a weavers favourite tool, masking tape.
