This sample came off the loom as a narrow strip of weaving. Folded around itself, filled, and with twisted cords from the same yarn as the weft sewn over the joins, et voila, a pin cushion. The cord forms a loop at one end to hang it from a map pin on a wall.
Hanging pincushions around the house is handy for collecting pins making a bid for freedom. I am afraid the loop is not quite visible in this picture, although it is on the original, ah, still learning how to tweak this blog.
Double weave, white warp with 3 weft colours, red green blue.
